The story behind the idea
In his approved personal account, Matt describes losing around four and a half stone over about eleven months through changes to food, movement and prescribed treatment following a clinical assessment. He also describes what the weight alone cannot explain: pain, drinking, grief and difficulty with everyday things. Read the full story in his own words on the About page. It is not a claim that another person will have the same result.
The middle needs support too
Starting gets plenty of attention. Keeping going when work changes, money is tight or a plan stops fitting can be harder to organise. SHIFT is intended to help you keep your reason for starting, remember what you tried and choose the next useful action without rebuilding the whole plan each time.
What that means in the product
- My Timber keeps an everyday goal, a Next Shift and feedback about whether it helped.
- Grub and Fit make food and movement choices easier to organise.
- Life Back keeps the ordinary things you want to do in view.
- The Knowledge Hub should help you understand questions and find the underlying sources, with clinical responsibilities made clear.
- Free core tools remain useful whether or not you buy an optional product or use a treatment route.
The promise has limits and responsibilities
SHIFT is a business and may earn money from optional products or partner services. The provider, cost and responsibility should be clear before you choose a service. My Timber is not a clinical record, a prescribing service or an emergency line. The practical purpose is to help you take a step that fits, then come back and see whether it helped. Your goals remain yours when circumstances or treatment change.
